Downtown Miami offers big city shopping with
a cosmopolitan flair. Bayside Marketplace is
an open-air shopping and entertainment complex
along the Biscayne Bay. Unique stores fill the
Historic Downtown Miami Shopping District.
Burdines, now Burdines-Macy’s, is Miami’s first
department store. Its flagship store is located on
East Flagler Street. Downtown is also the place
for jewelry. The Seybold Building has 10 floors
with more than 280 in-house jewelers, making
this building and the surrounding area one of the
largest jewelry districts in the U.S. Bustling Brickell
Avenue offers shopping and dining along side
streets tucked among the tall buildings. Just a
few minutes north is the charming Design District,
with interior design showrooms, art studios
and galleries.
