The PGA TOUR’s World Golf Championships–CA Championship brings some of the world’s top golfers to Miami’s Doral Golf Resort & Spa. A diverse field, WGC-CA Championship players compete for an $8 million purse at Doral’s legendary Blue Monster golf course. Formerly dubbed the WGC-American Express Championship, the PGA TOUR golf tournament became the World Golf Championships–CA Championship in 2007. The WGC-CA Championship takes the spot of the Ford Championship at Doral (known as the Doral Open) on the PGA TOUR.

Host course of the WGC-CA Championship at Doral, the Blue Monster is one of five championship golf courses at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami. Its 18th hole has been called one of the finest holes in all of golf. The par-72, 7,125-yard Blue Monster was renovated in 2006.
